"Deborah Coleman stands out as an exciting new star." - John Ruskey, Delta Blues Museum

"...distinctive style both as a vocalist and guitarist. ...an impressive debut album."- Living Blues

Deborah Coleman is one of a kind. She plays a scorching lead guitar that's a cross between Albert King and Jimi Hendrix. She writes some great contemporary blues tunes and she goes back to the roots of female blues singers with cover tunes, like "Moanin' the Blues" by Memphis Minnie. With her debut album she puts it all together and mixes it up in the studio with some top notch players. Skeeter Brandon shares a duet on "Don't Talk About Love" and he plays B-3 organ throughout. Ann Rabson sits in on piano on 3 tunes and Armand Lenchek leads a solid rhythm section. Deborah is a talent on the move and she proves it here.
