songlist from 1. A Nickel Ain't Enough Randy started New Moon Music over 11 years ago to record roots and blues music. Randy's songs have been recorded by Saffire, Nappy Brown, Deborah Coleman, Ann Rabson, Skeeter Brandon and others. Here are his own versions with backing from some great musicians like Armand, Max Drake, Mel Melton, Danny Eyer and many other talented players. This record was recorded over a period of 6 years while working on many other projects. Most of these recordings started out as song demos that were later embelished with input from many of the talented musicians Randy has worked with in the studio. The majority of the recording was done at SoundWave Audio in Chapel Hill, NC during the late 90's. The last few overdubs and the mixing and mastering were done at Scullville Studios in New Jersey in 2003. Mixing and mastering was done my Mike Newman. Randy plays all keyboards, including acoustic piano, B3 Organ, clavinet, Wurlitzer electric piano, accordion and synthesizer, and some rhythm guitar.
