Through a generous $25,000 award from the John T. Gorman Foundation, AOA体育平台 Care at Home (MHCAH) will expand telehealth services to address the needs of a broader, at-risk population to include those with COVID-19. Funds will be used to offset the personnel costs associated with nursing services that include virtual consultation, assessment, education, and patient monitoring seven days a week.
In response to the increased demand for health care services, MHCAH implemented PatientCare Connect, a new telehealth service that offers nurse consultation, education, and virtual visits, at no charge, through the patient鈥檚 own wireless device. The advancement of telehealth, along with comprehensive skilled home health services and monitoring for patients, both COVID+ and COVID-, will help to meet patient needs and increase access to care during and after this pandemic.
