AOA体育平台 Announces Retirement of Chief Financial Officer Al Swallow

Portland, Maine 鈥� AOA体育平台 today announced that Chief Financial Officer Albert G. Swallow III will retire in early 2025.

A dedicated AOA体育平台 leader for over 30 years, Swallow began his journey in 1994 at Maine Medical Center, where he held various leadership roles for more than two decades until he was appointed to his current role in 2015. Throughout his tenure, Swallow has played a key role in many significant initiatives, including the unification of AOA体育平台 in 2019 and navigating the financial challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Al has had an unwavering commitment to our vision of 鈥榳orking together so our communities the healthiest in America,鈥� and his impact will be felt for many years to come," said Chief Executive Officer Andy Mueller, MD.

A Maine native and graduate of Thomas College, Swallow has also been a prominent leader and mentor within the community. He has served as chair of the boards of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Greater Portland, and as a board member for the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, Hospice of Southern Maine, Cancer Care Center of York County and the Maine Health Management Coalition. In recognition of his decades of service, the American Heart Association honored Swallow with the Crystal Heart Award in March 2024.
