AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Waldo Hospital recently welcomed two new Community Health Workers, Terri Aldus and Dianna Wilson, to their Community Health department. They join a team of CHWs across Knox and Waldo counties dedicated to helping community members bridge gaps in accessing care.

Due to forecasted inclement weather this Saturday, June 7, the spring Farmersâ€� Market at AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Waldo Hospital has been postponed. The Farmersâ€� Market originally scheduled at AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital for this past Saturday, May 31, was also postponed due to inclement weather. Both events have been moved to this fall, with more information to follow.

To celebrate the opening of its new Cardiac Rehab gym, AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital will hold an open house for patients and community members Wednesday, June 18, from 11 am to 1 pm at the gym’s new home inside the Pen Bay Physicians Building, located at 4 Glen Cove Drive, Suite 109, Rockport.

AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital (MHPBH) is pleased to welcome Ashley Mychak, DPM, FACFAS, to its Podiatry team. Dr. Mychak specializes in the Lapiplasty® 3D Bunion Correction® Procedure, a procedure that MHPBH will now be able to offer for the first time.

AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay and Waldo Hospitals are excited to announce the launch of a secure and convenient medication take-back program on their campuses.

To help introduce their expanded team of certified nurse midwives (CNMs) to the community, AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay and Waldo Hospitals will hold a “Meet the Midwivesâ€� event on Thursday, March 20, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The event will be held at AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Obstetrics and Gynecology Rockport, located on the MHPBH campus in Rockport at 3 Glen Cove Drive, Suite 1.

As part of AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital’s continued effort to help those experiencing food insecurity, the hospital has added a new Help Yourself Shelf inside AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Behavioral Health Rockland, located at 12 Union Street in Rockland.

AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Maine Medical Center Portland is named a Top Teaching Hospital and AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital is named a Top Rural Hospital.

Previously associate vice president for philanthropy at AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Maine Medical Center, Erin Brown will lead AOAÌåÓýƽ̨’s new system-wide development team.

Four care team members from AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay and Waldo Hospitals were recently honored with employee awards during ceremonies held on the hospital campuses.
