The PROMIS study will examine whether SARS-CoV2 virus remains trapped in the fat tissue of patients with Long COVID.

Cindy and Cuyler Morris, along with Cindy’s father, Paul Baszucki, have pledged $300,000 to AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ to support additional faculty for training nurses through the Maine Community College System.

Funding from the National Institutes of Health will support the continued success of the Northern New England Clinical and Translational Research Network in improving the health of rural Maine.

AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ will be hosting a virtual event, ‘The Spark,â€� on June 8 to showcase the system’s innovators.

The project is supported in part by a generous $100,000 donation by Former Maine Speaker of the House and U.S. Senate Candidate Sara Gideon.

The program, which helps vulnerable populations navigate the complexities of the health care system, has helped more than 162,000 people since 2001.

Maine Medical Center is one of just two programs in New England to earn a three- year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer.

The organizations plan to enter a long-term partnership that will enable a greater investment in value-based models of care, emphasizing preventive services and chronic care management for AOAÌåÓýƽ̨’s senior patients.

The health care system is using the latest science to set standards for return to work protocols for care team members who contract COVID-19.
