Maine Medical Center is among just 10 percent of hospitals to receive the top quality rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

U.S. News & World Report has named Maine Medical Center (MMC) as the top hospital in Maine for 2023-2024. This is the 11th straight year U.S. News has named MMC “Best Regional Hospital.� U.S. News also rated MMC as “high performing� in 13 common procedures and conditions as well as in the specialty of Urology.

MMC is the first hospital in Maine to be recognized at the highest level, Pediatric Innovator, for its commitment to caring for pediatric patients experiencing medical and traumatic emergencies.

Maine Behavioral Healthcare (MBH) today announced the appointment of James Wolak, MD as Vice President of Medical Affairs, Intensive Services.

Kathryn Cope, Maine Medical Center VP, will start in June.
