Dr. Hershfeld is board certified in internal medicine and practices at Franklin Health Internal Medicine. She has been part of the Franklin Memorial Hospital medical staff for 14 years.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I care for patients at some of the most vulnerable times of their lives. I take pride in listening to my patients� wants and needs, and providing individualized care that they deserve.

I completed undergraduate work in Virginia and my Physician Assistant (PA) education at George Washington University. After working in Annapolis, MD for one year, I then completed a Surgical Residency at Norwalk Hospital and Yale University.

Being a lifelong Mainer, I enjoy taking care of Mainers, whether newly arrived or multi-generational. I strive to work with my patients to understand their values and design an approach to keep them healthy that fits within their goals.

I completed my fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced imaging at Yale New Haven Hospital/Yale School of Medicine.
